Forex Brokers Update — March 19th, 2017

The following brokers’ listings have been updated during the week:
CIBFX lowered its minimum spread on Forex pairs, increasing maximum leverage to 1:500. Gold and silver trading is no longer supported on Standard accounts. The minimum account size for the Standard accounts has been raised from $100 to $1,000. Micro account has been added with $100 minimum and a bit higher spreads instead.
XGLOBAL Markets added an ECN account type with $500 minimum size, micro-lots, and rather high spreads. One wonders why is it bother calling it ECN?
BDSwiss added a new account type with low fixed spreads but a high minimum size — $10,000. The leverage for these accounts is capped at 1:500. Their Standard account type was renamed to Basic and now offers trading from as little as $1 and with up to 1:1000 leverage.
CM Trading added a new account type — Gold. It requires a minimum of $25,000, but offers rather high spreads, giving little incentive for traders to opt for it.
City Index changed its spreads from fixed to variable. Its website is now available only in English.
CFDTimes lowered its minimum account size from $500 to $50 and changed the spreads from variable to fixed, increasing them slightly in the process.
Capital Index lowered spreads in its Advanced account type but increased them in Pro accounts.
ThinkMarkets (ex-ThinkForex) now supports PayPal for deposits and withdrawals.
