FOREXTRAVIEW is a Turkish Forex magazine, whose first issue has been published back in 2011. From what I have seen in their past issues (and I do not read Turkish), they offer profound articles on a range of foreign exchange topics. Their first global issue in English language has just been released. You can read my article on trade journals in this issue. The article provides detailed explanation on how to create a Forex trading journal using the free OpenOffice.org Calc software. You will find it on pages 12–17 in the magazine. I also recommend reading the rest of the articles there if you find something interesting to your mind.
Currency Trader Magazine is the only trading edition I read on a regular basis. Occasionally I may read separate articles from other magazines and journals, but my main comparison for the first English FOREXTRAVIEW issue is Currency Trader. Despite both being two online magazines on the same topic they are in fact quite different. The main difference is that FOREXTRAVIEW’s staff gives significant amount of their own opinion and analysis in the articles, whereas Currency Trader’s staff prefers citing analysts and experts of various investment banks and funds.
The first issue turned out to be rather rough. There is some nice overview of fundamental events and a glimpse of the stock markets performance, but overall it feels bland. Their English does not read well — some articles look as poorly done translations. The journal itself cannot be conveniently downloaded in PDF format. Instead, it should be read inside the publisher’s Flash viewer. On the other hand, this viewer offers an opportunity to watch embedded videos in the magazine, but I have failed to make them play for me for some reason. I still recommend subscribing to this new magazine as I am quite sure they will keep improving the quality of their issues.
