Forex Brokers Update — September 3rd, 2016

Another week has passed without new brokers being added to EarnForex.com. Two of the listed companies have been updated: FxGrow launched VIP version of its ECN account type. It starts from $10,000, offers 1:300 maximum leverage, and has lower spreads (paired with slightly higher commission). GBE brokers opened an office in Germany. They now support MAM accounts and no longer offer PAMM service. […]

EUR/USD Fails to Sustain Rally

EUR/USD had attempted to rally after the release of poor nonfarm payrolls but failed and is now trading below the opening level. NFP were disappointing on all fronts, be it employment growth, the unemployment rate, or wage inflation. The poor data reduces chances for a soon interest rate hike significantly. Nonfarm payrolls grew by just 151k in August, markedly below market expectations of 180k and the previous month’s revised gain of 275k […]

EUR/USD Bounces as ISM Manufacturing PMI Misses Expectations

EUR/USD was gradually moving lower during the Thursday’s trading session but rebounded sharply after the manufacturing index released by Institute for Supply Management failed to meet market expectations and surprised economists by falling into the contraction territory. Construction spending missed forecasts as well, adding pressure on the US currency. Initial jobless claims were at the seasonally adjusted level of 263k last week. That is compared to the previous week’s value of 261k […]

EUR/USD Little Changed After Mixed US Data

EUR/USD was trading mostly sideways today. US economic reports did not help the currency pair to find direction as solid employment and the strong housing market contrasted with the worse-than-expected Chicago Business Barometer. ADP employment rose by 177k in August, a bit more than analysts had expected (174k) but less than the July’s revised increase of 194k (179k before the revision). (Event A on the chart.) Chicago PMI fell to 51.5 […]

EUR/USD Down as Dollar Retains Strength

EUR/USD fell today as the dollar continued to be firm after hawkish comments from Federal Reserve officials. Economic data released from the United States at the start of the week was solid, supporting the view that the Fed will act soon, raising interest rates. S&P/Case-Shiller home price index rose 5.1% in June (year-over-year), matching specialists’ expectations. The index climbed 1.7% month-on-month. (Event A on the chart.) Consumer confidence climbed from […]

Factors to Consider Before Entering a Trade

Sometimes, when your trading strategy generates a signal, you might still wonder whether this particular trade is worth executing. Perhaps, there are some factors that should be considered before opening a position? Algorithmic trading systems as well as the most short-term human traders (e.g., scalpers) never second-guess their trading decisions in such a way. However, the rest of the Forex traders normally have enough time […]
